May Conference Call

Last nights conference call started with our discussing the ANCC accredidation. This accreditation means that the Meditation Specialist Certification program was peer-reviewed by a panel of nursing experts and met national statndards for continuing nursing education at an additional level. It is listed on the ANCC's website at the link (http://www.nursecredentialing.org/accred/competency/index.htm

Corlis, sorry to hear that you have been having health issues, and are now looking for another place of employment. You are in my thoughts. Maybe having the ability...or necessity...of finding a new job will allow you to find something more likely to help you grow as a person. I am wishing that for you. Just keep meditating...remember the 30 second seat! The remainder of the day is calmer once one has practiced. Congratulations on being a grandmother! May your grandson be a joyous addition to your family.

These last few months have been a roller coaster. After the last class and getting the final all tucked away things have been up and down. I miss the grounded feeling of being at the institute. I carried it home with me but it has since been lost. I have had some physical problems that have need attention. Hopefully they will be in the past soon. We became grandparents of a 5 month old adopted boy unexpectedly in one days time. He's so cute! And now I am not working in the hospital any longer. The universe has got to slow down throwing rocks for just a little while so I can catch up. On a brighter note, Very glad to hear about the ANCC accredidation. Maybe it will help when I look for a new job. I really want to do something with my Meditation Specialist Cert, I'm hoping for a chance to do so. How are you doing this in your daily routines? Great news regarding the ANCC accreditation approval for the Meditation Specialist Certification program. Thanks to all who worked to make this happen. It provides credibility for our teaching of meditation, and raises the bar for Meditation Specialists to a higher level of excellence.
