What others are saying...

Helen Huntington, RN

The Meditation Specialist Training Classes as taught by you,
has afforded me two noticeable behavioral changes which are: 1). I am much less anxious and nervous both
internally and outwardly when stressors come directly to me; I remain
calm. 2). My dietary intake is much better, although I
am not a Vegan, I now select and enjoy more nutritional foods, and have almost
lost the carving for diet sodas. I have
not had a diet soda for almost 8 months. Thanks for letting express my 'own self' changes.

The Meditation Specialist Certification program that I
attended in September 2007 in Honesdale, Pennsylavania was and continues to be
a life-changing experience for me.
Since my return to work after Clinic I, it seems as though
my workload is lighter. More aptly put, I am now able to handle my
workload with more ease than before I attended Clinic I.
I know that it is
just my ability to focus more sharply with my newly acquired meditation skills which allow me to flex my brain in
such a way that I can focus my attention in the midst of chaos. I currently work on a very busy medical
oncology floor where my days can be spent by being on my feet for a majority of
the twelve and a half hours that I am there.
Thanks to my new skills, I recently began to eat
differently, usually before 6 pm and never after 8 pm. I am very grateful for the experience and I
am looking forward to completing my coursework in a timely manner.

I am amazed how dedicating 10-20 minutes to
personal meditation; I am able to deal with the
world in much calmer and peaceful way. And I am
delighted, that I will be able to teach others the
same.

Marilyn Fioravanti, RN

Dear Susan,I have meditated for many years, sometimes with great success. Often I have felt a connection to a sense of myself beyond the ordinary. However, I have also had difficulty feeling a sense of relaxed breathing much of the time. A sense of unease and agitation is more common. I never knew why. I attributed it partially to many years of Intensive Care Nursing, caring for patients on ventilators who are in acute respiratory distress and who need artificial breathing patterns imposed on them.My previous meditation training did not include diaphragmatic breathing but more observation of the breath as it is. I have been practicing the diaphragmatic breathing as well as the alternate nostril breathing. I believe it has had an effect on my breathing and agitation. During some very difficult life events recently, I have been able to be in the situation in a surprisingly calm way. Also, I think that the experience of having to sit in front of a group and lead a meditation session, no matter that I feel I was anxious and awkward, has actually somehow instilled in me a greater sense of responsibility toward my own practice. I am always the one sitting in the crowd and receiving the instruction. Somehow, being in a position to give back adds a vigor and energy to one's own practice.I look forward to Clinic Four in March 2008.Marilyn Fioravanti

Enrolling in the Meditation Specialist Certification
Program was one of the best decisions I have made for my personal growth.
Through developing a regular meditation practice I am learning to be an observer
in life, and to take each moment as a new opportunity to see with fresh eyes...notallowing baggage from the past or anxieties about the future
to affect the presentmoment. I am
discovering I am less reactive in situations, more calm and collectedmentally and emotionally.
By practicing routinely, I am strengthening my mind to be
moreself-disciplined, empowering me to change long-standing habits from
maladaptive to more healthy ones. By creating a more healthy lifestyle, watching
mydiet, and lowering my cholesterol level, I have dropped 15 unwanted pounds so far, feellighter, and arguably have helped to prevent an illness from occurring later in life.
My love and compassion for others and for myself continues
to grow, as I am learning to honor myself as I honor others. I am discovering an innerpeace, a quiet joyful
light inside, like a hugeglowing smile.
Thanks for teaching this transformational class,
Jeri Schulzinger, RN
